It is one of the most dynamic spaces in the city regarding temporary exhibitions and programming. It also has permanent exhibitions about the history of Quito and it is also a space to learn a lot more about the city, with guided tours in several languages. The city Museum works in the city's most ancient building: the San Juan de Dios hospital, built in 1565.
