The promotional campaign for the capital, carried out through press and familiarization trips, allowed 935 representatives from the world media, and international tour operators, to visit Quito. Media outlets such as: Diario Spiegel on Line (Germany), El Tiempo (Colombia), Breaking Travel News (United Kingdom), Revista Siete Días (Argentina), Diplomat & International (Canada), Periódico Folha (Sao Paulo), devoted space on their information platforms to communicate their experiences while visiting Quito.
Flavors, landscapes, voices, adventures, warmth, smiles and even more qualities are highlighted in these pages, which confirm the potential of a patrimonial, natural and contemporary city such as Quito.
German magazine Salzburger Nachrichten devoted one of its pages to its visit of Quito’s Historic District and the middle of the world. ”Tourists are left breathless at the highest capital in the world. Steep streets lead visitors throughout this colonial city, one which to the North ends at a line the nation owes its name to”.
